That is to suppose that judging bad fruit and false teaching is a form of pride, in which case the apostle Paul must have been one pride-filled dude!

In reality, this post is here to expose a false teacher. Even now, in his restored state, Bentley's ministry still is all about supernatural unbiblical craziness: attributing healings and anointings to angels rather than to Christ, encouraging followers to look for "gold dust" as a sign from God, pointing people to a personal angel rather than to Jesus Himself, making the Gospel all about healing and not about redemption from sin, death, and the devil, etc. These are the primary concerns. Not to mention his positive confession ("What you see you be") and Todd's own pride in desiring a mega-ministry.

Simply attacking me for exposing his false teachings doesn't make me proud, it makes me concerned.

Todd has fallen. And there is no guarantee that Todd will never fall again, just as there are no guarantees for any of us. However, he will probably be far less likely to fall than those who have never fallen but have judged with pride or condemnation those who have. We see clearly in the Scriptures that the Lord has a lot of mercy for sinners, but none for the self-righteous, and that such pride usually precedes a fall.

This is not to imply that all who question or oppose Todd’s release are doing this out of pride, but it is a form of pride to make important or sweeping judgments with partial information.

And her name is? And she has publicly spoken about this where? I'm not denying the miraculous. I'm just saying that I hear a lot of these stories but no one seems to be stepping forward saying, "I was healed." Instead I get a lot of, "I know someone who..." or "My roommate saw...". In the Bible, when people got healed they went and converted entire towns, because they proclaimed what God has done.

Now even if they were healed, it still doesn't validate Bentley's ministry, the glory goes to the Holy Spirit. Bentley's fruit has spoken for itself....

I personally know a girl in North Carolina who had a paralyzed right arm since birth. She went to morningstar and one of todd bentleys meetings. Instantaneously while some were praying for her, she was healed. She now has full mobility and feeling in her right arm where she had not had any before that night. praise the lord!!

Thanks again for an enlightening post Dan. On a Lutheran campus I rarely hear about the crazies out and about. It's honestly scary to think that people like Todd are the face that Christianity is presenting to the outside world.

Hello "I appreciate Todd." God used an ass to talk to Balaam, and He will continue to speak to people using any means necessary.

Similarly, I can get my daily nourishment from McDonald's, but in the long run it will do more harm than good. Yet it will sustain me. The same is true of false teaching. Initially it may still cause some good, God will work through any means to bring people to Himself. But this doesn't validate Todd Bentley's ministry nor condone his actions.

I like todd bentley because the lord used him to help my friend. before the lakeland revival, a friend of mine whom i looked up to in the lord was going through an intense spiritual crisis. they no longer believed that anyone could know God personally and had stopped pursueing the lord. my friend went on vacation in scotland and while she was there she stayed with a christian family. this family watched the lakeland revival every night. the first night my friend was there she could only watch the revival for ten minutes before she got up and left the room in disgust because she knew it was all fake.
the next night though the family was watching the revival again, so she joined. She watched a little longer though, but still with very skeptical eyes.
The following night, while watching the revival, she suddenly experienced the lord like she never had before. And she began to cry very hard. She said the experience was like getting reborn again, again.
this was the biggest turning point in her life.
She now is a worship leader and missionary.
